Bio
Venedel is a musician, singer-songwriter, and producer driven by her passion to heal and inspire through music. Born in the Philippines and raised in Los Angeles, California, she learned piano at a young age and picked up a few guitar lessons from her sister and father. She began teaching herself to play along folk and rock songs she loved which she learned mostly by ear.
Venedel composes original folk songs, instrumentals, ambient music, and performs classic Philippine folk songs. Her music draws from a broad range of styles including folk, ethnic, rock, ambient, instrumentals, and film music. She is particularly drawn to express lyrical themes that include, awareness, transformation, and compassion in her songs.
Venedel's music explores mystical themes regarding the human condition, particularly the concepts of inter-being, inner and outer harmony:
As a musician, I strongly believe that music can serve as a powerful medium to raise awareness about our fundamental interconnectedness and interdependence as humanity.
